Head of the Trent 2025

Four crews from DARC travelled south to Nottingham on Saturday, February 22nd in search of competition at the Head of the Trent.

The J15 girls coxed quad had the best result of the day finishing second to Nottingham & Union Rowing Club in 13.19.3 over 3700 metres in division 2, while the WJ18 4x- was third to Nottingham County Rowing Association and Royal Chester RC in 20.09.3 over the longer 5600 metre course in division 1.

Also in division 1 the Durham/Hexham/Tyne ARC MasE 4x- composite finished well in 18.47.6 in 32nd place in a field of 82 although without opposition, while the Women’s Intermediate 4x- raced against strong opposition in the form of Leander and placed 5th in 20.14.1.
