Durham Regatta was the title feature of Episode 2 in Series 3 of the TV travel series Matt Baker:Travels with Mum & Dad shown on More 4 on September 9th. In the series Matt Baker and his parents Janice and Mike travel around the North East in a caravan, seeing the unique sights of the region and learning more about its history.
The episode features preparations for the 191st Durham Regatta in June when Matt and his parents helped the organisers prepare for the event, acted as honorary umpires during the racing, took part in bankside activities and also explored Durham Castle and the Durham University Botanic Gardens.
