Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed today that the move to Step 2 of the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown will go ahead as planned on April 12th, enabling shops, gyms, hairdressers and beer gardens to reopen.
We are therefore very pleased to confirm that after the success of our beer garden last year we will be reopening with not one but two beer gardens, providing up to 30 tables, making us one of the largest socially distanced hospitality venues in the city centre.
As well as the beer garden at the back of the clubhouse there will be an extended beer garden in place at the front of the building which enjoys better evening sunshine.
We will be open from 12 noon to 9pm on Monday the 12th of April, and every Friday, Saturday and Sunday thereafter, serving beers, wines, spirits and barista served coffees. A range of snacks is also available. Opening hours will be 12 noon to 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 9.30am to 6pm on Sundays.
The beer garden will remain open until 9pm on Sunday May 2nd, and will also be open on Bank Holiday Monday, May 3rd, between 12 noon and 7pm.
Bookings until May 16th are being taken, subject to a maximum of 6 people or 2 households per table. To reserve a table please message the Durham ARC facebook page with the day, time, number of people and a contact phone number. Step 3 of the Government’s roadmap is anticipated to come into effect from May 17th.
