Thanks to a relaxation of Coronavirus lockdown restrictions announced by the Prime Minister on June 23rd, and with the support of the City of Durham Parish Council, the Club is pleased to announce the opening of its new riverside beer garden on Saturdays and Sundays from July 4th, between the hours of 1pm and 7pm. Bar prices can be found here. During September opening hours will be from 1pm to 5pm.
The beer garden will also open on weekdays during the second half of August, and as part of the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out Scheme anyone ordering food or non-alcoholic drinks on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays between August 17th and 31st will receive a 50% discount up to a maximum of £10 per person.
A choice of afternoon teas will be available, as follows
- Afternoon Tea – a selection of freshly made sandwiches, pastries and desserts with unlimited tea @ £15 per person (£7.50 with discount)
- Prosecco Afternoon Tea – a selection of freshly made sandwiches, pastries and desserts with unlimited tea. 20cl bottle of Prosecco @ £20 per person (£12.50 with discount)
- Children’s Afternoon Tea – a selection of children’s sandwiches, pastries and desserts with unlimited squash, Pepsi etc. @ £9 per person (£4.50 with discount)
Bookings must be made in advance by sending a message to our Facebook page. We will call you to take a deposit prior to your booking.
In addition to this we are pleased to be able to confirm that our CL Caravan Site will reopen on Saturday, July 4th. The site has undergone a major refurbishment during the enforced closure, including re-seeded grass, extended and resurfaced hard standings and fully refurbished showers and toilets. We are looking forward to receiving our first guests on Saturday. The site is open only to Caravan & Motorhome Club registered members at £25 per pitch per night.
